Sunset at Soldiers

Gather your favourite people at Sunset at Soldiers, a renovated, four-bedroom, three-bathroom coastal home approximately 100 metres from Sunset Beach. With two separate living areas, it is designed to work just as well for extended or two-family holidays as it does for a girls' weekend, a getaway with friends, or a relaxed trip for several couples. There is plenty of room to spend time together without feeling on top of one another.

Enjoy water views and beautiful sunsets from the balcony, two separate living areas, and kayaks and stand-up paddleboards provided for guests. Ducted air-conditioning throughout and a large retractable awning over the outdoor dining area make it easy to settle into holiday mode.

Room to relax, indoors and out!
Upstairs is the heart of the house. The open-plan living area opens onto the balcony, where you can enjoy a meal, relax with a book or watch the sun set over the water. The electrically retractable awning provides shade over the outdoor dining area so you can enjoy your breakfast, lunch or dinner in the open air overlooking the water. Inside, a 65-inch TV and ducted air-conditioning make it easy to settle in after a day at the beach. Three of the bedrooms are on this level, including a queen bedroom with its own private ensuite.

The fully equipped kitchen has everything you need to cook for large groups and includes an over, stove, dishwasher, a plumbed family-size fridge/freezer and a Nespresso coffee machine (we provide the tea and coffee!!). Start the day with coffee together, enjoy a long lunch on the balcony or cook dinner on the Weber BBQ. Indoor and outdoor dining areas give families and groups of friends a choice of settings, whether everyone wants to gather around one table or spread out. The shared upstairs bathroom includes a bathtub, handy for families travelling with children.

Downstairs, a king bedroom with its own private ensuite and external access sits alongside a second living area with another 65-inch TV. This separate zone works well for grandparents, kids, a second family, friends or one of several couples travelling together, giving the group another place to relax while everyone stays under one roof.

Beach days and dining close by.
Sunset Beach is approximately 100 metres away, and Soldiers Point Marina is around a five-minute stroll along the beach for a meal by the water. Bannisters, home to Rick Stein's restaurant and the Cheeky Dog, is approximately a 15-minute walk or two-minute drive away, with Soldiers Point Bowling Club also nearby. Spend the day at the beach, organise a long lunch with friends, enjoy a girls' weekend by the water or head out for a sunset stroll before dinner.

More to enjoy during your stay.
Two adult kayaks and two stand-up paddleboards are available for guests, with beach toys for younger visitors. Back at the house, Wi-Fi, board games, a dartboard and a Sony PS3 provide options for families and groups of friends when you are not out exploring. A laundry with a washing machine and dryer, off-street parking and nearby street parking make both weekend getaways and longer stays easy.

Bedrooms and sleeping arrangements.
The house sleeps up to nine guests, with a maximum of seven adults. The top bunk and trundle are for children only. Please check the bed configuration below to make sure it suits your group.
• Bedroom 1 - downstairs: King bed, ensuite, ducted air-conditioning and external access.
• Bedroom 2 - upstairs: Queen bed, ensuite and ducted air-conditioning.
• Bedroom 3 - upstairs: Queen bed and ducted air-conditioning.
• Bedroom 4 - upstairs: King-single bunk bed and a trundle, with ducted air-conditioning. The top bunk and trundle (additional $50) are for children only.

A high chair and port-a-cot are available for families travelling with a little one. Additional charges apply.

Beds are made with quality white linen, with bath towels, doonas and pillows supplied. Please confirm which beds your group will use. Additional charges apply to the trundle and cot package as follows:
• Trundle: $50 each per stay, including linen and towels.
• Port-a-cot package: $50 per booking, including towel, linen and baby blanket hire.
• Beach towels: $8 per towel, per booking.
• High Chair: $50 per booking,

Good to know before booking.
Family groups are welcome, as are responsible groups of friends over the age of 25. The house is well suited to extended-family stays, girls' weekends, getaways with friends and relaxed trips for several couples. It is not suitable for parties or events. Pets are not permitted. Accommodation is spread across two levels; please refer to the floor plans when considering the stairs, bedroom configuration and layout for your group.

Security: External security cameras are installed at the property for security purposes.

Guest registration: All booking guests, including those booking through Airbnb, must complete the secure online guest agreement within 24 hours of booking, provide valid photo identification (driver's licence) and complete credit card verification.

Respect for neighbours: The house is in a quiet, noise-sensitive residential area. Please keep noise down after dark; complaints from neighbours may result in the loss of your bond under the booking terms.

BOND - $1000 is payable with the balance of your accommodation and is refunded 3-5 days from your departure date.

CANCELLATIONS - A $100 booking fee applies and is non-refundable. Please review the full cancellation terms before booking. For Airbnb reservations, refer to the applicable Airbnb cancellation policy

NO NOISE - The property is in a quiet residential area which is noise sensitive. Any noise after dark that causes neighbours to complain may result in the loss of your bond.

NO VISITORS - Registered guests only: Visitors and unregistered guests are not permitted. The booking terms provide for a $500 per-person charge for unregistered guests or people exceeding the accommodation capacity.

PLEASE NOTE: No events: Parties, functions, weddings or wedding-related stays, graduates, schoolies and teenager bookings are not accepted.

  Our 10-day stay at Sunset at Soldiers exceeded our expectations. The property is well maintained and full of entertainment facilities, e.g., two kayaks, two stand-up paddleboards, a trolley, beach toys, and even a dartboard in the garage. Sunset Beach also exceeded my expectations; it is perfect for kayaking and stand-up paddleboarding, not to mention the amazing sunset views. The neighbourhood is quiet yet lively, with frequent joggers and dogs going around. Also, the local pub, Cheeky Dog, is a great place for a meal and drinks with live music. I highly recommend the property if you are looking for a place to chill and enjoy the location.

  We went as an extended family, 5 adults and small handful of children. The three main bedrooms were great and the kids loved the bunk beds. Kitchen was so well stocked with kitchen items to cook and serve with. Technology items were easy and handy to have Short walk to water shore. We had family picnics on the front lawn. And those relaxing deck chairs on balcony were used a lot. Everything was clean, hand over was professional and would recommend!
