This amazing 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom home with 2 entertaining areas offers mesmerising water views, elevated privacy and is only a two minute walk to the beach. The open plan living area has floor to ceiling windows, looking out across Salamander Bay, an entertainment and socialising hub with comfy lounges, and a 55 inch flat screen TV and free Wi-Fi. It includes a spacious dining setting for eight and a fully equipped, modern kitchen with breath taking water views.

The large front deck has a relaxed lounge setting and catches the sunrise. It is a favourite spot for morning yoga and coffee, a getaway anytime of the day or for evening canapes and drinks. The rear of the home has an oversized covered deck surrounded by tranquil gardens, offering lots of privacy and protection from the south easterlies. It includes a casual lounge setting, gas BBQ and additional dining setting for eight.

All bedrooms are carpeted for luxury and they have new Sealy Posturepedic ensembles with deluxe euro tops for extra comfort plus the home is fitted with ducted reverse cycle air conditioning to ensure your comfort all year round.

The master bedroom has a queen bed and has floor to ceiling glass sliding doors onto the balcony, with sparkling water views, an enormous walk-in wardrobe, remote TV and ensuite. Bedrooms two and three are equally spacious, each with its own built-in wardrobe, ceiling fan and large window ensuring lots of natural light. Bedroom two has a queen bed while bedroom three has 2 king zip singles. The main bathroom has a separate bath, shower and toilet. The lounge room also contains a sofa bed.

There are two covered car spaces at the top of the curved, steep driveway. Two flights of stairs then lead you up to the front door, where your holiday home, balconies and decks are all on the one level.

Wanda Point House is dog friendly (subject to approval, please enquire). As the fence is not fully secure, it is best suited to an obedient dog or small family dog. There are plenty of pretty walks to take and Salamander Beach only 100m away is dog friendly on lead. Please note - no dogs allowed in the carpeted bedrooms or on the beds or furniture. Each furry guest's holiday is $100 per stay.

NO NOISE - The property is in a quiet residential area which is noise sensitive. Any noise after dark that causes neighbours to complain may result in the loss of your bond.

NO VISITORS - We have a strict policy in relation to 'visitors' to the property. A fee of $500 per head will be charged if additional people are found at the property that are over and above the number of beds at the property or guests not registered.

    Spectacular view of the bay!. Very pleasant kitchen/ dining area. Kitchen is fairly clean and well appointed, although the dishwasher is dodgy- cheap and nasty, annoying when you have 8 people & tons of dishes. The fridge & freezer are also in need of replacing, fridge freezing food & also defrosting so water dripping inside on everything & freezer foot is lopsided and broken.

    This is a pet friendly property, but we didn’t expect there would be dog fur all over the lounge & in the bedrooms on the carpet and bed base. The carpet is smelly. We Vacuumed, but vac not great quality either.

    Overall we had a pleasant stay, but the place needs a good clean or carpet replacement as the back area where the bedrooms are carpeted smells & is extremely dusty.

    The property management were great, friendly, professional & helpful.

    The driveway is steeper than you imagine, need a 4 wheel drive to have any hope of getting up, and even then it’s a struggle.

    When we arrived and encountered the very steep driveway, we thought this house wasn't for us. Once inside we quickly changed our minds as the house was beautiful with fantastic views of Salamander Bay. It was well appointed, spacious, clean and well maintained.

    Beautiful spot, only sour part about our stay was the fact that we couldn’t invite our family up for a drink on the balcony of an afternoon. We paid good money to stay in the house and in addition paid a substantial $1000 bond. We have a great reputation with all previous airbnb stays. Yes this was advertised on the listing but was still extremely frustrating and as a result we spent no time at the house other then to sleep. We’d come to NSW to visit family and the restrictions that the house had meant we weren’t able to enjoy the home and all it had to offer.

    We stayed in the house for a few days, the location was excellent and the views are great. Saw daily dolphins in the bay which was a bonus. The driveway is very steep but not a problem to drive or walk up.
    The property has everything needed for an enjoyable stay and is in easy reach to great beaches.
    The only slight negative was a bit more attention to detail in the cleaning of the property, this didn’t have a major impact but a little more care can make all the difference.

    The house is amazing, very well set out and contains everything you need, exactly as described and great design. If you are looking to stay over Soilders POint side, it is very well located, close to water and shops, all within walking distance. View is beautiful, very easy to spend time out on balcony. The driveway is something to keep in mind, once you get up it deters you from wanting to leave, it is not easy and if you have elderly with you they will struggle to walk up the driveway and then up the stairs to the house, this is the only downside to the house.

      Hi, We are very glad you enjoyed your stay and didn't want to leave. The set of stairs to the property and steep drive are not wonderful for the elderly so we do put this in the description. Once you are in the house it is all on one level which is wonderful for getting around from room to room to enjoy those beautiful views.

    Wanda point house was truly amazing! The view is spectacular, the bay is heavenly, serene and quiet, with birdsong to add to the beautiful atmosphere.
    The house itself is a sheer delight to be in .
    My only concern is the steepness of the driveway. this aspect of the property should be noted in the information about Wanda point house with an accompanying photograph of the drive way.
    I was not made aware of this till communication with the letting agent just prior to our booking date. Even then it was hard to assess what was meant with no photograph. There will be people especially of mature age who may find this difficult to negotiate both by foot and by car. There is no other entry to the property but via this access and as you need to pack and unpack the car its an issue.
    Some in our group said they would not rebook it because of this access feature.
    You need to be more transparent about this feature in the general information of the house from the beginning.

    Overall we loved our week at Port Stephens. Wanda House was well located and by and large suited our needs. A few small points. None of the internal sliding doors worked properly. Several light bulbs were out from the start. The dishwasher is old and ineffective. The Butler service you recommended helped the ladies out with the loan of their Dyson hairdryer at no charge and were very friendly.
    We are a family who are all into fitness so the mountainous driveway was no problem for us but may well be for the not so fit. Bringing a car up required skills and great courage.

    The agent and or the owner must have had some bad experiences with groups who have stayed in the house because we were very conscious of being under close observation during our stay which is a little unnerving. Not sure who who was doing this - agent or owner but it was obviously someone close by. It would have been much better for whoever it was to simply have knocked on the door and introduced themselves. On that basis, because we feel that part of what we are paying for is our privacy we probably wouldn’t stay at Wanda House again.

    The property was in excellent condition with breathtaking water views. Quite, natural and family style stay. Not recommended for elderly people as there are two lever stairs. Parking was too steep to drive and very complicated. Otherwise no complaints in other areas. Everything we enjoyed. Native birds will come everyday to your backyard. 4 stars.

    Property was in a great location, walk to the beach and pleasant foreshore walk to the local shops which have a great bakery. Views from house were perfect! Enjoyed spending a relaxing time with family and our pooch. Property is pet friendly and kept very clean. You need to have confidence with the driveway as it’s steep, but you can always park your vehicle on the street and walk up if you weren’t confident to drive up it.
